the best cucumbers
Make sure they're firm to the touch.
Soft spots, especially at the tips, mean the cucumber is nearing the end of its shelf life. Look for a consistent color. Yellow spots suggest over ripeness. Skin should be smooth, not wrinkled or shrivelled, which is a sign of moisture loss.
