How to choose
the best peppers

Look for a green stem, which means it's fresh.

A ripe pepper has a glossy look and smooth skin. Avoid soft spots or shriveled skin.

Choose peppers that are bright, vibrant, and consistent in color, and firm and heavy for their size, since heftier peppers are usually juicier with thicker walls.

Have questions?

What are sweet peppers?

Sweet peppers are mild, non-spicy peppers grown for flavor and crunch rather than heat. Nature Fresh Farms grows five kinds: Sweet S'NAPS®, Sweet Thrills®, Mini Sweet Peppers, Bell Peppers, and Long Sweet Peppers.

What is the difference between sweet peppers and hot peppers?

Hot peppers carry capsaicin, which is what creates the heat. Sweet peppers have little to no capsaicin, so they taste sweet and mild instead of spicy.

What do Nature Fresh Farms sweet peppers taste like?

Sweet S'NAPS® are sweet and juicy with a satisfying crunch, and Mini Sweet Peppers bring a burst of color and sweet crunch to a dish. All of these sweet peppers work raw for snacking or cooked in everyday recipes.

Which sweet peppers are seedless?

Sweet Thrills® are the seedless option, described as All pepper and no seeds®. The other sweet peppers in the lineup contain seeds.

How do you choose the best sweet peppers?

Choose sweet peppers with a green stem, glossy skin, and bright, consistent color, and avoid soft spots or shriveled skin. They should feel firm and heavy for their size, since heavier peppers are juicier with thicker walls.

How should you store sweet peppers?

Store sweet peppers unwashed in the refrigerator crisper drawer. Kept cold and dry, they generally stay firm and crisp.
